Two Championship Matches Announced For Monday Night Raw After Bad Blood 10/7/24

Two major championship matches have been announced for the first Monday Night Raw following Bad Blood. Set to kick off at 8 PM Eastern at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri, this highly anticipated episode will be the first two-hour edition of Raw in over a decade. Fans will be treated to both a World Championship match and an Intercontinental Championship match.

In the main event, a highly anticipated rematch will take place as Gunther finally accepts the challenge to face Sami Zayn one-on-one for the first time since losing his Intercontinental Championship to Zayn at WrestleMania. For weeks, Gunther has been avoiding Zayn’s challenge, but after Sami managed to get under his skin this past Monday on Raw, the dominant powerhouse finally agreed to the match.

Additionally, Jey Uso will make his first Intercontinental Championship defense, taking on Xavier Woods. This match came about after a backstage segment where Kofi Kingston revealed that he had originally secured the title opportunity for himself, but felt that Woods deserved it more. Hoping to see his partner shine, Kofi gifted Woods the match, with both men hoping to bring the gold home to The New Day.
