Miro Requests His Release From AEW
Sean Ross of Fightful Select has reported that current AEW star Miro, formerly known as Rusev in WWE, has requested his release from AEW. While the reasons for his request remain unclear, it is also uncertain if AEW will grant it. The former United States Champion and TNT Champion has not been seen in action on AEW programming since defeating Andrade at the "Worlds End" pay-per-view in December 2023. Interestingly, Andrade also left AEW following their December 30th match and returned to WWE, making his appearance at the 2024 Men's Royal Rumble.
Miro, who has shown great potential in both AEW and WWE, has now gone 265 days without an AEW television appearance. As fans eagerly await news on his next steps in professional wrestling, the future for the talented star remains uncertain. Goin Over will continue to track this story and provide updates on any significant developments regarding Miro's career.
