Goin Over Bad Blood Match Card & Rumors - 10/5/24
WWE’s Bad Blood Premium Live Event is just six days away and is set to take place in Atlanta, Georgia. With a special start time of 6 PM Eastern (3 PM Pacific), WWE aims to avoid conflict with UFC’s main event scheduled the same night. With the go home Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown still to come, the final card isn’t set in stone, leaving room for potential last-minute additions to the lineup.
Cody Rhodes & Roman Reigns vs. The Bloodline
For the first time in their careers, Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns will team up to face a common enemy: The New Tribal Chief, Solo Sikoa, and his enforcer, Jacob Fatu. While it’s clear that their differences are far from resolved, this matchup will see if they can coexist long enough to defeat Solo and Fatu.
Hell in a Cell: CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre
After nearly a year of feuding, CM Punk and Drew McIntyre will settle their bitter rivalry inside Hell in a Cell. The two are tied at one victory apiece, with their animosity dating back to Punk’s return at Survivor Series last November a moment that led to Drew reportedly storming out of the arena. Their hatred for each other has only grown since, and Hell in a Cell provides the perfect setting to bring this feud to a brutal conclusion.
Women’s World Championship: Liv Morgan (c) vs. Rhea Ripley
In one of the most anticipated matches of the night, Liv Morgan will defend her Women’s World Championship against Rhea Ripley. Dominik Mysterio, who previously cost Ripley the title, will be suspended above the ring in a shark cage to prevent any interference. This stipulation adds another layer of drama to the contest, attempting to assure the match is decided fairly as Ripley seeks redemption.
Women’s Championship: Nia Jax (c) vs. Bayley
Bayley earned her shot at the Women’s Championship after defeating her friend Naomi in a number one contender’s match on SmackDown. She will now face Nia Jax one-on-one for the title. Jax, has promised serious repercussions to her bff Tiffany Stratton if she loses.
Damian Priest vs. Finn Balor
Former Judgment Day brothers Damian Priest and Finn Balor will go head-to-head for the first time in a singles match. Their friendship shattered after Balor costed him the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam.
Will There Be a World Heavyweight Championship Match?
The World Heavyweight Championship status for Bad Blood remains uncertain. Sami Zayn, who defeated Ludwig Kaiser on Raw, is vying for a shot at Gunther’s title, but the reigning champion has only poked fun at Zayn’s quest. Gunther’s dismissive attitude towards Zayn has fans wondering if the title will be defended this Saturday. If Gunther does not put his championship on the line, and with Cody Rhodes in a tag match, Bad Blood could go down as a rare PLE without a world title match.
